St. Mary's Healthcare Center, consisting of a 60-bed acute-care hospital, a 105-bed long-term-care hospital, and 58-unit senior-living apartments, provides health care services in central South Dakota. The health care center offers both inpatient and outpatient care, including surgery, children's health, home and hospice care, and rehabilitation services. St. Mary's got its start in the nineteenth century; in the 1920s, itbecame one of the first hospitals in South Dakota to become accredited.
