Job Description
Always Safe & Lock, Inc.is seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant. This is a part-time position (25-30 hrs/wk) with flexible hours. Responsibilities include all financial operations and office management. Successful candidate is also eligible for exceptional company benefits package (not pro-rated.) Strong QuickBooks (desktop Enterprise) background is required; AA degree (or higher) preferred. Knowledge of POS systems helpful, CounterPoint experience would be a big plus. Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills also required. Knowledge of WA Prevailing Wage requirements and reporting.
Duties include:
- daily sales reconciliations, cash balancing, AR payment processing, bank deposits and change orders
- weekly AP entry, reconciliation, payment processing
- work closely with vendors and customers to resolve issues promptly
- bi-weekly payroll processing (QuickBooks Enhanced desktop)
- monthly bank reconciliations, reporting to state and federal agencies and management, update vendor files with Resale Permits and change sales tax rates as needed.
- cash-flow management
- work closely with management on planning, financing, staffing
- Quarterly tax reporting (payroll and state/federal) Strong knowledge of Washington business and payroll regulations. Preparation of Forms W2 and 1099. Annual reconciliations and preparation of year-end package for CPA to prepare tax return.
- Research and make recommendations on changes in state and federal regulations
- Maintain stock of office/shop supplies. Maintain filing system, archive as needed.
- Work with insurance and benefits vendors.
- Review and update benefits package as needed.
