As a Diesel Mechanic, you will provide accurate and efficient services by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty semi-trucks and trailers in a safe, reasonable and responsible manner.

Wages are based on experience - the more experience, the higher the wage! Journeyman Mechanics are encouraged to apply!

DOT and Refrigerated Trailer experience a plus but not a requirement.

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• Ability to diagnose engine mechanical and fuel systems failures on heavy equipment, including drive train components, hydraulic systems, and air and electrical system
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly
• Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components
• Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts.
• Perform work as outlined in repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform needed repairs
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts/supplies
• Advise Shop Supervisor if additional work is needed; if work on repair order is not needed, or if job will take longer than expected
• Document all work performed
• Thorough understanding of electrical systems, sensors, wiring and ECU’s
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
• Minimum 4 years experience in a “full service” maintenance facility preferred
• Must be able to work independently and stay focused on job assigned
• Must possess strong trouble shooting skills to assess needed repairs
• Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 50 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in a horizontal position for prolonged periods of time
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per company standards
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
• Computer diagnostic experience is a must - Insight-Cummins, Davie - Paccar, ESA, Service Ranger, etc.
