The Job
Our Manager of Business Systems and Technology position is responsible for managing the Computer Systems Analyst team and working with a team of IT professionals to design, implement and maintain the systems we use to operate our business. In this position, you will ensure the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, hardware, and software used within the company. The Business Systems Manager may also be tasked with ensuring that all employees have access to the software they need to do their jobs effectively. This might include creating training programs or writing user manuals so that everyone on the team knows how to use the new system.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage information systems and provide architectural and technical inputs to the relevant projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all business systems, applications, and integrations
- Guide Business Systems Analysts and users.
- Analyze, design, and implement process improvement changes across different departments.
- Collaborate with technology teams and business users to manage implementation, training options and support.
- Review efficiency of latest software.
- Analyze potential solutions to ensure future needs.
- Generate and manage quality control reports, management reports, status reports, and system assessment reports.
- Calculate return on investment and execute project activities with a focus on providing efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Create and review technology RFPs.
- Manage user cases, bugs, and feature requests for various business systems.
- Plan and implement effective testing processes to ensure that deliverables adhere to standards.
- Use appropriate project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc) to organize, schedule, and deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Manage a team of computer systems analysts and developers

Required Skills/Abilities
- Extensive experience leading and managing teams
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical processes in simple terms
- Strong experience working on back-end business related systems such as ERP, Finance, and CRM
- Proven experience with SaaS based CRM and ERP platforms such as Salesforce, Netsuite, SugarCRM, or Hubspot
- Proven experience with cloud-based SaaS and PaaS technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
- Analytical skills to evaluate data and make informed decisions
- Understanding of and experience implementing IT best practices around security, system reliability, financial systems, or systems used in manufacturing
- Business acumen
- Ability to program and review code in Java, Javascript, Python, APEX, C , C#, Ruby or other major programming language
- Strong knowledge of database systems
- Experience working in or leading a DevOps environment
Education
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
