What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Designer position at Actalent?
An Architecture and Engineering firm in the suburbs of Chicago is looking to add an Architectural Designer to their team!
Job Description:
- Communicate and develop designs with PMs, consultants, engineers, and designers
- Will utilize due diligence survey information with client design specs to produce construction document sets
- Work on a variety of multisite commercial projects on a weekly basis
- Responsible for delegating work/tasks to junior designers and mentoring them when needed
- Perform QA/QC on projects and review shop drawings
- Attend site visits when needed
- Responsible for getting project documents to permitting and responding to comments
- Assist with interior development when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Architecture
- 5 or more years of post-graduate experience working at an architecture firm
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, Revit is highly preferred
- Licensure or on track towards it is highly preferred
- Previous experience leading and managing projects in a fast paced environment
