Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax and Accounting Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and accounting, with excellent organizational and client service skills. This is a full-time position that can offer flexible hours and remote work opportunities. Our firm focuses on working with small business owners, giving them the tools and guidance needed to be successful. We are not your typical suit-and-tie accounting firm. Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Supervise a team of bookkeepers to ensure timely completion and accuracy of assigned tasks (financial statements, general ledger entries, etc.).
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Communicate with clients regularly to gather necessary information/documents, address their questions, provide guidance, and alleviate their concerns.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve the company’s processes, systems, and culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent empathetic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Honest work ethic with a focus on excellence and a positive mental attitude.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer base pay commensurate with experience plus incentive pay of $100k /- based on work completed.
