Accountant

We are currently seeking a Senior General Accountant to join a dynamic and growing company. As a Senior General Accountant, you will be responsible for a significant portion of the accounting functions and will work closely with the Accounting Director to ensure the reliability and transparency of financial statements.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger from A to Z, including daily entries, monthly, and annual closings.
• Produce financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, notes) in compliance with Belgian (BEGAAP) and international accounting standards.
• Handle VAT declarations for multiple group entities, assist in preparing corporate tax (ISOC) declarations, and monitor regular tax-related matters.
• Monitor and justify accounts through financial analysis.
• Implement and follow up on accounting and internal control procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and revaluations.
• Respond to auditor inquiries and provide support as needed.
• Handle and monitor ongoing orders.

Your Profile:

• At least 5 years of experience as a General Accountant managing the full accounting cycle, ideally in an international environment.
• Proficient in SAP software.
• Solid knowledge of Belgian accounting standards (BEGAAP) and Belgian tax regulations (VAT, ISOC).
• Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken. Dutch is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and possess a keen eye for detail.
• Strong critical thinking skills, rigorous, and precise, able to make relevant recommendations based on accounting data.
• Comfortable collaborating with other departments (Management Control, Legal, Purchasing, Logistics, etc.) to provide accurate and reliable information.
