At SSG, our Education & Training Team offer a range of educational programmes and courses for those aspiring towards the workplace, re-entering employment or upskilling within an existing career. SSG requires a motivated and empathic individuals to join their team within the Bedford area as a Student Support Mentor.
The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting learners in their wellbeing and additional learning needs. They will work alongside our tutors to support the learning within both one to one and small group settings of students. Experience is desirable however full training will be provided.

What you will do
>Work with a diverse variety of leaners inclusive of 16-18 year olds as well as adult learners
>Work alongside our class tutors to support all learning initiatives
>Assist with and implement effective learning strategies
>Support learners with their wellbeing and any additional learning needs
>Understand the classroom content in order to be able to support learners
What you need
>To be professional in all communications
>Show a passion for the needs of the candidates
>To be flexible to support on other programmes/venues
>To have a can-do attitude and be a team player
>Knowledge of Safeguarding practices
