About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager you’ll work in a small team responsible for undertaking fabrication and assembly duties within our clean and purpose-built fabrication shop. This will involve pipe cutting, plastic welding, assembly, ductwork, packing and testing. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Safe assembly of fabricated items to a set timescale and quality
  • Packing and checking that fabricated stock is available to meet order requirements
  • Stock and inventory management using the our IT system to book stock in and out
  • Making sure that housekeeping of the fabrication shop is maintained to a high standard, all health & safety regulations are met, and that before using tools and equipment that all risk assessments are read and understood
  • Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by the Commercial Manager

About you

Ideally, you’ll already have some experience of working in a similar manufacturing role, and it’s essential that you’re a great team player who can work effectively with minimum supervision. You’ll have an eye for detail and accuracy, combined with practical hand skills and you’ll also need to demonstrate the following:

  • Good organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lift large and heavy objects
  • IT literate with the ability to learn a new computer system

It’s also desirable if you’ve got a full driving licence to help with local deliveries and have had previous experience of using a counterbalance forklift truck, but this is not essential as we will provide full training.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
