Have you ever thought about becoming a cat sitter? In other words, getting paid to look after lots of gorgeous cats while their owners are away?
Kitty Angels is a small business, entailing remote working with head quarters based in Halesowen, West Midlands. Our goal is to deliver a safe, caring and reliable service for client's pets in their own homes within a fun, friendly and supportive team environment.
Due to the increased popularity in Kitty Angels, we require additional team members (Angels) to assist us with cat sitting visits in the vicinity of the Halesowen, Bearwood/Smethwick, Edgbaston areas, with further vacancies in the Bartley Green and West Bromwich available too.
Our visits, which last 20 minutes to half an hour, are carried out at customer's homes and include feeding, watering, litter changing, play, fusses & interaction with the customer's cats. Light household duties will also be required such as bringing in post, watering plants etc. The role is similar to a home care assistant but we have furry clients instead of human ones.
On completion of the visit, we send a update to the customer, so they can see how everything is going, so a good standard of English and knowledge of WhatsApp is essential. Previous experience with administering medication to animals (tablets and injections) would also be an advantage but full training will be provided. It should also be noted that we are sometimes asked to provide care to other types of animals, such as bunnies, chickens, fish or even reptiles (no dogs), so please provide a covering letter confirming your previous experience in animal care and welfare, should you decide to apply.
Candidates must have access to a car and hold full driving licence, as you may need to travel to various customer locations, within a set time span. Please do not apply if you do not have this.
The role requires a high level of flexibility, with the majority of our visits taking place early to mid-morning, evenings and weekends. The business is largely seasonal and demand is generally low during winter months, but significantly increases during the summer, particularly over school holidays, Easter and Christmas. It is therefore important for candidates to understand that you will be required to work over these periods and kindly request that candidates do not apply, if you know you have other work or family commitments, that will not fit in with our client's expectations.
Candidates must hold or be prepared to have a DBS check carried out and must be able to provide both a business and personal referee, before commencement of the role. Of course they also need to be crazy about cats!
