As a Nutritionist, you will provide critical nutritional expertise across all our education contracts, working closely with operations management, front-line staff, and performance teams. Your primary role will be to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines for healthy, nutritious children's food, in line with the ISS Education brand.

You will support the design and management of special diet processes and procedures, ensuring that all dietary requirements are met with the utmost care and precision. Additionally, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of broader nutrition, health, and wellbeing initiatives and programs, promoting a comprehensive approach to health in educational settings.
Your responsibilities will include offering guidance and training to staff on nutritional best practices, staying updated with the latest research and trends in nutrition, and applying this knowledge to continuously enhance our food offerings. You will collaborate with our culinary team to create menus that are both nutritious and appealing to children, fostering a positive relationship with healthy eating.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Associate Nutritionist to manage special diet referrals on a day-to-day basis and at menu change, creating general, bespoke, and complex menus in line with pupil medical requirements
• Maintain pupil files in line with all GDPR requirements and ensure all other dietary safeguarding processes and procedures are adhered to
• Assess menu compliance in line with legislation and other nutrition standards
• Develop nutrition, wellbeing and special diet related tools and resources to support operational teams in the delivery of service
• Support Operations teams to respond to school, client and parent queries relating to special diets, nutrition and legislative standards
• Assist the Senior Nutritionist with expertise for new business, client visits, menu planning, special diets policy development and mobilisations & training
• Design & deliver added value initiatives within the business e.g FEED days and other promotional or educational events
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
• Degree in Nutrition
• Registered Nutritionist with the AfN
• Member of a professional body e.g Nutrition society
• Previous work experience, preferably within the Education catering sector and, or working with special diets and allergies
• Experience working with children and young adults
• Experience with using Saffron or other nutritional analysis programme
