Butcher

Greens of Pangbourne is looking for a skilled butcher to join our existing team, to work on carcasses of beef, pork and lamb, poultry and game.

We are an award winning family run butchers based in Pangbourne, just outside of Reading. We specialise in award winning Pies, Sausages and Bacon.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years butchery experience with a good understanding of carcass butchery and a genuine desire to develop their skills and knowledge. A passion for food and high personal standards are also essential along with the ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities include:

• Adherence to food safety guidelines and legislation
• Driving sales through exceptional customer service and engagement
• Creating attractive counter displays and controlling quality
• Receiving deliveries, temperature checks and quality checking
• Collaborating with our small, friendly team to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas
