As an Analyst - Transportation, you will be responsible for providing analytical support for transportation programs including small package, LTL, private fleet, dedicated, international, courier, truckload, rail or expedited. You will also be responsible for supporting government regulatory agencies, auxiliary programs including car allowance reimbursement, freight audit and payment, and supply chain analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Dedicated Transport Specialist in APAC region.
- Key Contact for APAC freight quote and project cost estimation.
- Develop Freight Tools and structure transportation/logistics information for internal support teams
- Monthly Carriers Performance reporting, review and improve on Logistics Providers KPIs.
- Compile, report and publish monthly freight related metrics and other adhoc reports that may be required.
- Maintain Routing Guides, Freight Cost Calculators and other Freight Tools.
- Control and manage Transportation related systems and databases.
The Transportation Analyst is primarily responsible for:
- Work with Sales and other functional teams to support the transportation process for WESCO/Anixter across the APAC region.
- Strategic management function within the WESCO/Anixter Global Transportation Team.
The position is empowered to negotiate, manage, resolve issues and implement best practices.

- Assist and quote freight costs.
- Track missing freight and process Freight Claims.
Provide shipping support and other ad-hoc tasks.

Qualifications and Requisites
- Diploma/ITE in Logistics/Transportation Management preferably with 1-2 years of operational logistics/shipping experience.
- Good knowledge and understanding of different transportation/shipping modes.
- Proficient in MS Office – Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Customer-oriented attitude, initiative and creative.
- Self-driven individual with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Possess sharp analytical, strong solution solving and negotiation skills.
