Job Responsibilities
Development of novel polymer chemistries for use in the development of single-walled carbon nanotube based sensors for use in monitoring plant metabolites in vivo.
Successful candidates will be reporting to Prof. Michael Strano (MIT), and will be working in an interdisciplinary and collaborative team.
Able to present research work in regular meetings, meet project deadlines.
Write scientific manuscripts for publications and take part in intellectual property protection.
Present research work in internationally reputed conferences and apply for extramural funding with colleagues.
Job Requirements
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering or related fields.
Published at least 1-2 publications in top international peer-reviewed journals.
Experience in nanomaterial or polymer synthesis for biosensing.
Candidates with additional experience in the application of sensors to plant biology or agriculture are preferred.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate, work in teams and interact with collaborators.
