Senior Buyer (Chemical Manufacturing)

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the end-to-end Source to Contract process for direct and indirect materials and services
• Sourcing and perform RFI/P/Q based on inputs from requestors.
• Negotiation with vendors to attain right price, right delivery, right place.
• Perform bid comparison and award recommendation with proper justification
• Own supplier relation management, including developing an understanding of major suppliers’ business development, positioning in the market, pricing benchmark and other supplier intelligence
• Ensure all existing vendors follow corporate vendor requirements, such as acceptance of Company Code of Conduct, submission of relevant Quality Certificates
• Perform vendor qualification for new vendors, including liaising with finance to have new vendor created in SAP
• Prepare and conduct Monthly Raw Material Pricing update to Local and Global procurement
• Support and at times lead continuous improvement initiatives such as digitalization, process improvement, operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Degree in Business / Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in Procurement / Purchasing of Raw Materials
• Chemical Industry
• SAP
