Healthcare Assistant Activity

RESPONSIBILITIES

The job holdersupport and assist the RN/ENs in the delivery of care to residents in the nursing home in accordance to established policies and procedures, standards of nursing care and practices.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

• Assist in activities & physical exercises with residents in the ward including CP activities
• Assist with oral feeding and perform post-feeding activities
• Planning of social activities for residents
• Engagement of community partners/ volunteers for social activities
• Observation & reporting of residents’ condition
• Any other duties as assigned by Staff Nurses & Allied Health/CP

Secondary Responsibilities and duties (20%)

• Participate in clinical service projects
• Participate in infection control prevention activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• For locals – Secondary/Primary education
• Certificate in Community Care training an advantage
• Able to work in ward environment in a Nursing Home
• Perform resident management activities
• CPR/AED certified
• Working Hours - Flexi hours, part time 3-4 times, full time 5-day work week
