Job Description

The IT Senior Manager, Business Application Lead, is an influential leader responsible for driving improved business performance by aligning resources, technologies, and processes to drive Application Support Excellence and maximize IT Application Project Delivery. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality outcomes, bringing in technology and business domain know how while fostering sustainable growth. The role will create a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring IT value to the business.

Business Application Lead

• Operation Excellence: Lead, drive and support the Team in providing day-to-day application support, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, IT change management, Partner Vendor Management and escalation management. Ensure business as usual. Minimize or eliminate IT Application disruptions to the business.
• Vendor Management: Lead to evaluate and selects third-party software and service providers. Establish & manages vendor relationships, contracts, technology roadmap and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Modernizing Application Landscape and Support: Incidents and manual process should be reduced if not eliminate. Enhance/Automate ; identify & remove waste ; importantly design, build, and configure applications to ensure stability and minimal support. Ensures applications are developed using industry best practices and standard.
• Team Lead: Drive, up-skill and motivate team members to higher standards and quality deliveries. Define development plans, coach and support team members in continuous upskilling
• Technology Domain: Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Identifies opportunities for improvement and innovation in application development and management.
  
  

Application Project Management

• Project Management: Own to Initiate and structure Application Projects Delivery. Deliver Enhancements and Projects as planned in multi-stakeholders and cross business environments. Ensuring timelines, budgets, risks and resources are effectively managed.
• Performance Tracking: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success of application implementations, ensuring that business objectives are met.
• Project Management Standards: Develop, maintain and enhance IT Project Governance, Standards and best practise framework within the company. Comply with internal policies, maintain security best practices and manage risks.
  
  

Software Evaluation & Partner Vendor Management

• Assessment: Lead evaluations of software vendors and solutions, including proof of concept (POC), ROI analysis, and alignment with business strategy.
• RFP Management: Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) process for new software acquisitions, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure a transparent and competitive selection.
• Technology Fit: Lead to evaluate and coordinate the integration capability of new applications within the existing IT ecosystem, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields.
• PMP, ITIL or equivalent certifications required.
• More than 10 Years experience in IT Application Support/Development and Projects.
• With at least 5 years of experience in Team Lead Roles, with a proven track record of leading Application Support and Project implementations.
• Business Domain knowledge of Maritime or related industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications, SaaS solutions, and modern IT architecture.
• Candidates must possess strong technical acumen and the ability to develop solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess system performance and implement improvements.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and changing requirements.
