Network Security Engineer

We are looking to speak to Network Security Engineers with experience in Firewall, Micro segmentation, Internet proxy, WAF and network security monitoring!

Responsibilities

• Firewall & Proxy Management: Configuring and maintaining firewall policies, web application firewalls (WAF), and proxies, ensuring that these systems are properly filtering and securing the network.
• Vulnerability Management: Using tools like Qualys to identify and track vulnerabilities and follow through on remediation efforts.
• Security Monitoring: Handling network security monitoring, ensuring that security events are logged, and alerts are followed up on promptly.
• Security Architecture Design: Collaborating with other IT teams to assess and propose improvements to existing network security architectures.
• Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.) to automate tasks, enhance security tools, or streamline processes.

Requirements

• Systems/Networking:Proficient in operating systems including Unix, Linux, Windows, and mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
  Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, routing, IPsec, VPN).
  Strong knowledge of common internet application protocol vulnerabilities (HTTP[S], SMTP, DNS, NTP, LDAP, SIP, SAMBA, SSH).
  Expertise in internet architecture and its potential vulnerabilities.
  Experience with vulnerability analysis and assessment tools.
  Familiarity with SIEM solutions for security event management.
  
• Development & Automation:Experience in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C/C , Shell, Assembler) to automate security processes or improve tool functionality.
  
• Security & Regulatory Compliance:Ability to adhere to internal and external security policies and regulatory requirements.
  Fluency in English and French is required.
  
• Certifications (Preferred):CISM, CISA, CCSP, or other information security certifications are an added advantage.
