A Banking Client Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new clients to the bank, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience. This role involves verifying and collecting necessary documentation, performing KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsbilities:

• Collect, verify, and validate KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) information.
• Coordinate with various internal teams (e.g., compliance, risk, legal) to ensure smooth and efficient onboarding.
• Ensure accurate completion of account opening forms, legal agreements, and supporting documentation.
• Input client data into the bank's systems and ensure the data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensure all compliance procedures, including AML and KYC checks, are fully adhered to.
• Perform due diligence checks and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
• Flag and escalate any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate team for resolution.
• Act as the main point of contact for new clients during the onboarding process.
• Provide clients with clear communication about the onboarding steps and set expectations for timelines.
• Address any questions or concerns clients may have during the onboarding process.
• Work closely with sales and relationship management teams to ensure a seamless transition from account opening to active banking relationships.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in client onboarding, banking operations, or customer service is often required
• Experience in compliance, KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or risk management is a plus.
• Familiarity with banking products and services.
