Pre School Educator

Job Description

• Deliver classroom instruction in line with the school's established policies and guidelines.
• Employ a range of effective teaching and nurturing strategies to facilitate high-quality learning experiences.
• Foster a sense of pride in the classroom environment and promote respect and empathy among students, contributing to a positive and caring school community.
• Take responsibility for all aspects of classroom management, ensuring the learning space is tidy and well-organized.
• Design a dynamic and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages independent learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and provide reports as required.
• Work collaboratively with the principal and teaching staff to implement and refine effective student assessment methods and moderation portfolios.
• Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with the parents of students in your care.
• Submit planning documentation that outlines specific learning objectives, differentiated activities, support for special needs, enrichment opportunities, and assessment plans to the Principal or designated authority.
• Engage in professional and constructive dialogue with colleagues regarding students, staff, and overall school matters.
• Support, guide, and oversee assistant teachers in their duties to ensure effective classroom operations.
• Contribute to the overall management of student welfare, including pastoral care, health, and behavior, particularly for students in your assigned class.
• Demonstrate respect for each child’s social, cultural, and religious background, fostering an environment of mutual respect and inclusion through personal example.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Teaching) or an equivalent qualification
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a preschool setting is required.
• Familiarity with, or a strong willingness to learn, inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
