System Engineer

Main Activities/Responsibilities Design and implement automation solutions for cloud-based infrastructure to improve efficiency and streamline operation. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and ArgoCD. Create and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Helm chart configurations, to ensure scalability and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver solutions tailored to organizational needs. Monitor and optimize cloud systems using Prometheus, Elastic Search, Grafana, and Kibana on Kubernetes. Ensure high availability of PostgreSQL databases with Patroni and HA Proxy on virtual machines. Support hybrid cloud environments, including Azure and VMware, to integrate diverse infrastructure components. Provide technical expertise in Kafka on Kubernetes using Strimzi for robust messaging solutions. Requirements Must Have: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 6 to 9 years of experience Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab preferred) and ArgoCD for deployment automation. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to prioritise competing demands effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have: Experience with hybrid cloud technologies such as Azure and VMware. Knowledge of Kafka on Kubernetes utilizing Strimzi for distributed messaging systems. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Elastic Search, Grafana, and Kibana on Kubernetes environments. Expertise in PostgreSQL database management with Patroni for high availability setups, along with HA Proxy on virtual machines. Soft Skills Strong stakeholder management abilities to align technical solutions with organizational goals. Excellent organizational skills to handle complex projects efficiently. Adaptability to evolving technologies and priorities in a dynamic environment.
