Virtual Care Clinical Lead

We are seeking an experienced and telehealth savvy GP to join our established virtual team as Virtual Care Clinical Lead. This is initially a flexible 0.4 FTE role, with a mix of 2 sessions Clinical Leadership and 2 sessions telehealth sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to add an interesting and dynamic leadership position to your current practice.

About the Position and You

The Doctors Online delivers virtual care solutions for Green Cross Health. This includes casual patient consultations via The Doctors Online portal. The Doctors Online provides Practice Support services to the Green Cross Health network of 65 practices across the country. These services include repeat prescribing, virtual inbox support, telehealth sessional clinics, and virtual care locum services. The Doctors Online also provides services through Unichem and Life pharmacies to support Health Hubs through Standing Orders for registered nurses and pharmacists in order to enhance patient access.

The role of the Virtual Care Clinical Lead is to:

• Maintain the consultation and administration support model that provides virtual clinical support to practices across the Green Cross Health group.
• Work to ensure we have appropriately trained clinical staff to provide The Doctors Online services.
• Coordinate with the medical support office team and Green Cross Health group to strategically develop The Doctors Online services on offer.
• Provide virtual clinical leadership/support to the network and be jointly responsible for the further development and implementation of the network virtual health quality and business plan, maximising and improving:
  
  • telehealth safety and quality
  • patient and staff experience
  • funding and revenue
  • network growth.
• Work with practices to ensure they understand the virtual services on offer from The Doctors Online.

You will need to have

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience leading and guiding a team
• Hold FRNZCGP
• Current APC, Medical Indemnity Insurance and ACLS certificate
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
