We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Buyer to join our team at UFBG. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking abilities and exceptional powers of persuasion. If you have extensive experience in Category Management and are ready to take on a new challenge, we want to hear from you!

Some of your responsibilities:

Your primary role at UFBG will involve sourcing and approaching new suppliers, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing category plans, as well as staying informed about market trends and product developments to capitalize on new opportunities. Key responsibilities include maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and delivery terms, setting and monitoring KPIs, analyzing data to optimize processes, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve collective goals.

• Source for new suppliers in the FMCG category, establish relationships with them and maintain and nurture these commercial relationships for the long term
• Negotiate the best assortment, prices, payments, and delivery terms with your (international) suppliers
• Supplier management, pricing strategies, forecasting, and inventory management
• Make adjustments based on analyses and reports to improve process efficiency
• Work closely together with your colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve the best results – Teamwork for the win!

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• You have 3 years of experience in buying/procurement roles within the FMCG domain, preferably within a retail company
• You have a good understanding of English. Another language is a plus
• You are in possession of a bachelor's degree
• You have the ability to think strategically and act tactically. You are full of passion and with an innovative mindset
• You possess excellent customer attention and interpersonal skills. You are a strong communicator and negotiation
• You have a passion and understanding of wholesale, retail or e-commerce
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset; you love taking ownership and overcoming obstacles
• You have cultural sensitivity in working with various stakeholders in the EMEA region
