About the Business:

We're excited to be expanding our UK business, Vintage Cash Cow, into Europe, and we're currently setting up our European sister company, Arcavindi, just outside of Arnhem. This new venture will be the heart of our operations for the Netherlands, Germany, and France, supporting our growth as we scale. As we build this dynamic, customer-focused business, we're looking for a dedicated and passionate Jewellery Specialist to join our team. This role offers the chance to be part of an exciting journey, curating and assessing a wide range of jewellery, from costume pieces to precious metals, as we grow and scale the business across Europe.

About the team:

At Arcavindi, our Jewellery Team is dedicated to expertly assessing and curating jewellery pieces of all types, including vintage, antique, and silver jewellery. We take pride in our meticulous approach to evaluating, sorting, and listing jewellery for sale across multiple platforms. As we expand rapidly, our team is growing, and we're looking for individuals who are passionate about jewellery and eager to contribute to our success. You'll work closely with your colleagues while also having the autonomy to make informed decisions that drive our success.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Jewellery Sorting & Categorisation: Sort, group, and categorise a variety of jewellery items, ensuring they are listed on the most suitable platforms.

  • Jewellery Assessment & Valuation: Assess and curate high-quality jewellery lots daily, with a focus on identifying high-end, fine, and collectable pieces.

  • Product Descriptions: Write precise and detailed product descriptions using the company's listing tool to ensure accuracy and appeal to customers.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with departmental managers to meet team goals and support KPI achievements.

  • Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of quality control, ensuring that all jewellery pieces meet accuracy and presentation standards.

  • Tracking & Reporting: Keep accurate and up-to-date departmental tracker sheets and report on performance metrics regularly.

  • Continuous Learning: Develop and refine your knowledge of vintage, antique, and silver jewellery, including hallmarks, maker's marks, and valuation techniques.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous Jewellery Experience: Previous experience in the jewellery industry, with strong knowledge of precious metals, hallmarks, and jewellery identification.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong Computer Literacy: Proficiency in working with online listing platforms and other computer-based tools for tracking and reporting.

  • Teamwork & Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and managers.

  • Passion for Jewellery: Enthusiasm for working with a diverse range of jewellery, from costume to high-end precious metals.

  • Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, continuously adapting to new challenges and processes.

What makes someone successful in this role:

  • Proactive: You take ownership of your tasks and make informed decisions that contribute to team success.

  • Efficient: You consistently meet listing targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality control.

  • Collaborative: You enjoy working with a team, offering support to colleagues and helping achieve shared goals.

  • Detail-Oriented: You are meticulous in your work, ensuring that every piece is accurately assessed, categorised, and listed to the highest standard.

  • Continuous Improvement: You are committed to learning and developing your expertise in jewellery, striving to refine your skills and contribute to the team's success.

What's in it for you!

  • We're growing rapidly – and this is only the beginning. This is your chance to join early in something seriously exciting.

  • You'll be part of a team uncovering vintage and antique treasures every single day. Our amazing customers send us fascinating items from all over the country – and you'll help give them a second life.

  • You'll be contributing to something that truly matters. We're building a sustainable, circular company that helps people declutter with ease – while finding new homes for pre-loved pieces full of history and charm.

  • The tools, resources, and support you need to succeed and grow. We're big believers in self-improvement and will back you to become the best version of yourself.

  • A collaborative and supportive team. We've got each other's backs, and we work hard to create a space where everyone feels safe, included, and inspired.

  • 25 days of annual leave, plus great benefits.

  • Daily lunch with the team – on us!

  • A fun, inclusive, and thoughtful company culture.

We're building a workplace where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered to be their authentic self. Diversity fuels our creativity, innovation, and success – and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
