Tasks
Head of the Logistics & Cyber-IT-Operations unit of the CC department with the following main tasks:
- Performing all technical and personnel-related management and leadership functions associated with the management of the unit, including service and technical supervision
- Coordination, staff deployment and setting priorities in the department
- Management of the department's network infrastructure
- Technical and functional administration of internet-connected services, operational applications in Extrapol, or storage and virtualization solutions
- Central contact person for police files and IT security (SiFa)
- Planning, organizing and coordinating the economic, efficient and timely performance of tasks, command and operational resources (FEM) and logistics, including improving work processes/conditions and defining work objectives, tasks and priorities
- Planning and conceptual development of the operational readiness of the CC department
- Special organizational structure (in the context of operational situations)
Willingness to work flexible hours is required for the following reasons:
- Business trips as part of the performance of duties (e.g. BAO* workshops): can be planned; occasionally: approx. 1 time per month for 1-2 days in Germany and approx. 1-2 times per year for 3-4 days abroad
- Participation in operational assignments: can be planned; occasionally and voluntarily: approx. 1-2 times per year
- Management of important and time-critical measures in connection with special IT situations and crises
These framework conditions are dynamic. Changes in connection with the performance of tasks may necessitate adjustments or postponements.
Our expectations (mandatory)
- Completed scientific university degree (Diplom, Magister or Master's degree) in computer science, mathematics or physics or a comparable completed scientific university degree in the STEM field with an IT component
- At least 5 years of practical specialist experience in the IT environment including at least 3 years of practical management experience
On top
- You have in-depth experience in the conception, realization, implementation and operation of BigData storage technologies (Kafka, Elastic Search) or BigData analytics.
- You also have extensive practical experience in the design and implementation of automated data processing processes in networks of different protection classes, including data exchange across network boundaries, taking into account IT security requirements.
- You have a good command of written and spoken English (level B1 (CEFR)).
- You are service- and process-oriented and good cooperation and team-oriented action are a matter of course for you.
- You have very good verbal and written communication skills, good cognitive and organizational skills, are resilient, independent and flexible in completing tasks.
