Autism Support Technician - Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Autism Society of North Carolina is currently hiring for a part-time entry-level Autism Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with autism in reaching their personal goals in the Wilmington area. This position earns a competitive wage.

FLEXIBLE PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE
This part-time DSP position works a very flexible schedule with daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend options.
DAY-TO-DAY
As an entry-level Autism Support Professional/DSP, you build relationships with participants, then use that bond to help them enhance their lives. Whether it's helping them make choices, gain life skills, learn to better communicate, or find and be successful in a job, you are there for whatever they need. You provide support in participants' homes and out in the community. Following their individual treatment plan, you help them reach goals that may include developing social interaction skills, positive behavior management, self-care, and self-direction.
But you're not in it alone. You have an entire network of resources to ensure you are able to provide the best services possible. You participate in treatment planning and progress assessment meetings, cross-train with other autism support professionals, keep careful records, follow basic assurances of health and safety, and collaborate with supervisors and administrative staff. You end each day feeling rewarded seeing the people you serve make strides toward a more independent life!
