JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the Cultivation Director involves contributing to the strategic planning, management, and execution of cultivation operations across large-scale grow facilities spanning multiple states. This position entails overseeing the cultivation and production processes, as well as managing Regional and General Managers to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation on the establishment and development of new cultivation sites in different states.
• Supervise the cultivation and production of cannabis flower and infused products.
• Develop, monitor, and uphold key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and employee productivity.
• Collaborate with various departments to streamline cultivation programs.
• Devise and implement methodologies, irrigation strategies, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs, and continuous improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and federal and state laws by managing Regional and General Managers.
• Oversee cultivation techniques throughout production cycles and schedules.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource for cultivation and manufacturing teams, offering guidance on products, policies, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
• Take responsibility for documentation, safety, quality control, production efficiency, on-time delivery, and financial performance of cultivation processes.
• Fulfill any additional duties as necessary.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Knowledge:

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Science, Agronomy, Plant Biology, Horticulture, or related field preferred, with a Master’s degree being advantageous.
• Seven or more years of experience in agriculture within a cannabis environment.
• Familiarity with plant diseases, pests, and IPM solutions.
• Proficiency in various grow mediums, crop management, and commercial irrigation methods.

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in inventory management and reporting.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, coupled with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to positively influence team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, particularly advanced skills in MS Excel.

Abilities:

• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with flexibility in working hours.
• Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods, including computer operation.
• Self-motivated and willing to engage in hands-on work as needed, without hesitation.
• Agility to continuously bend, lift, and stoop as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $81,537.97 - $98,196.27 per year
