Larimar Therapeutics Inc is Hiring an Executive Director, Marketing Near Bala Cynwyd, PA

Description

Larimar Therapeutics Inc. is a publicly held clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for patients suffering from complex rare diseases using its novel cell penetrating peptide technology platform. Our lead product candidate, Nomlabofusp (CTI-1601), is a subcutaneously administered, recombinant fusion protein intended to deliver human frataxin (FXN), an essential protein to the mitochondria of patients with Friedreich’s ataxia. Friedreich’s ataxia is a rare, progressive, and fatal disease in which patients are unable to produce sufficient FXN due to a genetic abnormality. 

We have assembled an experienced management team, each of whom has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Our management team, employees, and consultants have significant expertise in discovery, nonclinical and clinical development, regulatory affairs, manufacturing and CMC. 

Our company’s strategy is to become a leader in the treatment of rare diseases by leveraging our cell-penetrating technology platform and applying our team’s know-how to the development of Nomlabofusp and our pipeline projects. Job Responsibilities:

Position Overview: As the Executive Director, Marketing at Larimar Therapeutics, you will play a pivotal role in driving our commercial success. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nomlabofusp marketing and marketing strategy to ensure launch-readiness and successful commercial launch. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy development and execution

  • Develop go-to-market strategic marketing plan with a focus on critical “Day 1” programs and resources to ensure rapid uptake of nomlabofusp upon approval
  • Lead annual brand planning function to ensure marketing strategy and tactics are responsive and aligned to changing marketplace dynamics
  • Commission and oversee additional market research to inform marketing plan

2. Commercial leadership/collaboration

  • Serve as the internal and external (KOLs, Advocacy Groups) ‘face of the brand’ 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with key commercial functions (market access, sales, patient services) and other non-commercial partners (medical affairs, regulatory, legal/compliance, manufacturing)

3. Market positioning and branding

  • Establish brand vision, personality, identity, value proposition, positioning and messaging
  • Provide input, direction, and marketing support in the development of brand-related services, for example: Patient services program development, Brand-adjacent programs (e.g. genetic testing program), Market access marketing (materials, IDN strategy)

4. Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget in close partnership with finance
  • Adjust planned spend as needed to efficiently capitalize on market opportunity and to sustain brand growth

5. Compliance and governance

  • Ensure adherence to commercial policies, legal requirements, and industry regulation
  • Closely partner with compliance/legal from concept-to-execution for all programs
  • Develop MLR review process with legal and medical

6. Team Leadership

  • Efficiently build and lead a high-performing marketing team
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)

Experience:

  • 8-10 years experience in roles of increasing marketing responsibility within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Must have rare disease and launch experience; rare disease launch experience (eg – within the same brand) is preferred
  • Familiarity with drug development, clinical trials, and regulatory processes
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
