This is predominately a field position overseeing electrical transmission line right-of-way vegetation clearing work. Position includes inspecting land clearing contractor work for compliance with contract specifications and Best Management Practices (BMP’s), and local, state and federal permit requirements.Position: Senior Environmental ScientistLocation: Windham, CTDuration: ContractHourly Rate: DOEQualifications2-5 years’ experience in Transmission Line required. Experience with overseeing vegetation clearing for linear project is preferred but not required. Holding a license or certification in forestry and/or arboriculture is a plus.
