Contributes to ARA’s team conducting pavement engineering research for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Includes pavement design and analysis, pavement management, and the development of pavement-related software tools, both for in-house use and as client deliverables. Involves using pavement engineering and material concepts, statistical analysis, experimental design, and data mining. Duties include, but are not limited to, interpreting pavement-related testing data, network and project-level pavement performance data; finite element analysis; and improvement and maintenance of airfield pavement design and management software.
Educational requirements: Master of Science in Civil Engineering or Civil or Environmental and sustainable Engineering with credits in pavement engineering subjects thesis/academic research in airport pavement design, planning and/or construction.
Salary Range: $72,987 per year
