Ignite Consults is hiring a Hybrid Server Architect on a Six-month temp-to-hire basis who will provide leadership in the recommendation, development, configuration, installation, administration and optimization of the server hardware and software for all server-based computer systems for our client. S/He will ensure the availability of all server-based and web-based applications, and the ability of the Client’s users to logon to a functioning computer daily. S/He will also ensure the provision of a stable and technologically relevant server and storage environment and assist in overseeing the physical security and integrity of server locations and installations. ***NO C2C***

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Assists in designing, planning and configuration of new server hardware and software implementations.
• Upgrades/patches server software.
• Develops and implements processes, procedures, and system documentation for ongoing management of the server environment.
• Diagnoses, resolves, and documents hardware and server software problems in a timely and effective manner.
• Will have multiple primary assignments such as O365 e-mail, Windows Server OS updates/patches, backups, virtual systems, SAN storage, Active directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, etc.
• Provides end-user training and support as well as mentoring of junior staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Rotating on call 24/7 technical support will be required.
• Hybrid with 2 - 3 days in office

YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field or in a job-related field of study.
• Four (4) years of related work experience in Information Technology and experience with Windows servers and operating systems.
• Strong working experience with server hardware, DNS, DHCP, DFS, etc.
• Virtualization experience such as VMWare and Nutanix.
• Knowledge of NetApp and Isilon storage, Cisco UCS, Cisco MDS switching.
• Experience with the analysis and troubleshooting of Windows performance data.
• Experience with Azure cloud, App services, VM, conditional access policies, etc.
• Experience with SCCM, SCOM and InTune
• Certification in Microsoft Design preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
