Procurement Contract Specialist
Description

As the advanced leader in the Buyer class series, you'll provide technical supervision and training, steering the Procurement team to new heights.
Collaborate with departments on equitable solicitation processes, negotiations, and major contract implementations. Your expertise will be pivotal in reducing risk exposure and ensuring compliance with industry standards, legalities, and regulations.
Requirements
- Four (4) years of procurement and contracting experience in a Procurement Department or Agency, which included contract negotiation.
- In lieu of the required Bachelor's degree one (1) of the following scenarios will be accepted :
- This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above.
- If an associate or bachelor's degree is not possessed, then a minimum of four (4) years additional relevant work experience is required.
- Current and extensive knowledge of procurement methods, procedures, automated purchase requisition and contract management systems
- Contracting principles including RFP / RFQ preparations, Public Works, contract negotiation, contract law and / or basic financial analysis
