Coding discharged patients' accounts. Prepare the patient chart for discharge process and assemble components in the correct order.

Assigns and abstracts medical and consultant data. Qualifications Your qualifications and experience will include : Education : High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED Experience : Two years of experience as a coder with Medical Records preferred Licensure / Certification : CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCA (Certified Coding Associate), or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) REQUIRED.

RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred. Other : Must be at least 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check and drug screen Knowledge : Health Information Management systems and operations.

Computer literate; skill sets to work in a fast-paced environment.
