The Design Collaborative is seeking a Part-Time Project Architect to join their team! This role is perfect for a mid-career professional with 5 to 10 years of experience who is excited to take their career to the next level at a young, diverse, and innovative company. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with other designers and engineers under one virtual “roof” from day one. Discipline silos are a thing of the past and we approach building design holistically. We emphasize R&D and encourage the development and adoption of new workflows and technologies to best serve our clients.
This is a hybrid part-time position with flexible working hours. You’ll perform code analyses and develop architectural designs for projects in multiple market sectors. You’ll be responsible for the development of design drawings and specifications. You’ll perform existing conditions verifications and play an active role in construction administration.
TDC is a women-owned, LGBTQIA led start-up founded in 2018. We are primarily a remote company, but we have a small office space in Los Angeles, California. Our mission is to be an equitable platform for design professionals that encourages innovative design and truly integrated processes. We firmly believe that integrated design begins from the inception of a project. Architectural and engineering systems design develop in tandem, working together throughout the project to place equal importance on each discipline’s contribution and function within each project. Disciplines communicate and work together daily to find project solutions that complement one another. TDC brings a collective 60 years of experience to our projects and our team members have worked with many high-profile clients on large, complex projects.
