MARTOS Engineering is a full-service Structural Design Firm focusing on new building designs and alterations, located 30 minutes from New York City. We are looking for full time Structural Engineers for immediate employment at our Nyack, NY office. Candidates must be detail oriented, self-motivated designers looking to expand their knowledge base and experience with a large variety of projects. At MARTOS engineering we strive to mentor new engineers with a variety of projects and responsibilities.

• Existing Condition Evaluations
• Special Inspections

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and calculations
• Prepare construction plans, details, and structural notes
• Prepare structural reports
• Review shop drawings
• Perform site investigations and construction inspections
• Coordinate directly with team members, architects, developers and contractors
• Foster relationships with clients and develop new work opportunities
• Mentor junior staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with emphasis on Structures.
• Proficiency in Auto CAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Engineering-In-Training Certification required

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of industry standards and structural codes
• Experience in designing with wood, steel, concrete, and reinforced masonry.
• Proficiency with structural analysis programs such as RAM structural systems and STADD
