ITRisk Managers is a small business in Okemos, MI. We are a professional, agile and collaborative niche insurance industry, licensed in all 50 states. This position will start with data entry as the primary fundtion, and this position will assist the office administrator in the transition to a cloud-based agency management system by inputing all current policy data into a new system. However, ithe long-term goal for the ideal candidate is to hire someone interested in the insurance industry, or willing to learn the insurance industry. The ideal candidate currently holds a State of Michigan insurance license in Property/Casualty or is willing to take the State Exam to obtain their license. The ideal candidate would be willing to grow into an insurance processor, which would allow us to shift the short-term data entry position into a full time, or part-time team role.

Responsibilities:
- Enter data into databases and maintain accurate records
- Collect and organize data from various sources
- Correctly and accurately enter existing policy data into new platform
- Greet clients respectfully and professionally
- Answer phones and direct clients calls to the correct agent or assist them in questions regarding their policy.
- Become familiar with the insurance industry if no previous experience.
- Learn how to intake submissions, and send applications to market
- Analyize and asses risk exposure; determine coverages and work along side insurance agents to process new business and renewal policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position
- Proficient in using data entry systems and databases
- Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors
- Basic math skills for performing calculations when necessary
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and clerical tasks
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage and maintain client records
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with clerical tasks, such as data entry and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of insurancel terminology and procedures, or willingness to learn
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
Previous experience with AMS360 is a plus!
