Overview

As the Instructional Systems Designer working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will manage the development of curriculum for the Navy Reserve Force utilizing Navy Education Training Command processes. You will be expected to be an expert in all areas of curriculum development from planning, analyzing, designing, development, implementation, evaluation, and content maintenance. You should be intimately familiar with the Naval Education and Training Manuals as well as NETCs authoritative databases for the development and storage of training content. 

This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops moderately complex interactive courseware for customer training
• Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans
• Converts moderately complex level written materials and/or training requirements to interactive courseware
• Develops flow diagrams and story-boards
• Designs instructionally sound moderately complex level lessons in a variety of delivery media
• Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content
• Develops moderately complex manuals, workbooks, and audio/video tapes and discs

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in related field is preferred 
• 5 years of experience as an Instructional Systems Designer
• Active Secret clearance 
• Familiarity with the following systems and databases: Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) Content Planning Module / Learning Object Module(CPM/LOM), and open source e-Learning development software such as GIMP, SeaMonkey, Avidemux/OpenShot, Audacity, Synfig, Scribus, InkScape/Open Office Draw or Adobe products such as Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC), Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe Captivate CC 2017, Adobe Audition CC 2017, Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018, Adobe InDesign CC 2018, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Office MAC 2016 and Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Also requires working knowledge of Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC), Enterprise Naval Training Reservation System (eNTRS), Corporate enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS), Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS), and Standard Training Activity Support System (STASS)
