The Montfort Academy is actively searching for an Assistant Athletics Director and Physical Education teacher who has a considerable amount of experience not only with the physical sports aspects of athletics but also with financial and budgeting aspects of athletics. The candidate must have experience working with Athletic organizations in order to ensure coach and referees for all teams and games. The candidate must be able to work with the Athletics Director in order to look forward and help establish and execute growth plans for the school's ever expanding Athletic program. The candidate must be enthusiastic and spirited; in other words, be a chief coach and cheerleader for Montfort's student-athletes and sports teams.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Physical Education classes
Communicate with various Athletic organizations, seek out coaches and referees
Organize, and schedule games on site and off site and seek out good opportunities for our teams to play in competitions
Work with Human Resources re: Independent Contractors, coaches and referees and their fees. Relay payment information to Finance and continue to track balances
Help create, execute, and track a budget
Collect and record all monies received from Athletic fundraisers, uniform costs and the like
Ordering & cataloging, uniforms and equipment
Requirements:
Must be fully knowledgeable in all sports (soccer, volleyball, basketball, football, baseball, softball, track, cross country, and weight room training and conditioning) all for both boys and girls at the varsity and junior varsity levels
Must be well organized
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to teach a Health class as well as Gym classes
Must be able to blend well with our faculty and school athletic mission of forming not only body but also mind and soul.
Must be very spirited and energetic and have experience working with high school students
Must be able to reach out and solicit, via email or phone, our incoming 9th grade students and returning sports students for a minimum of two weeks training during the months of July or August.
Must have a CDL license to drive the team to games or be willing to get one
