State of Montana is Hiring a Remote Business Process Analyst

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for a Business Process Analyst. This position coordinates with other Department sections, state agencies and technical workgroups to ensure consistent and cohesive application of complex theories, methods, tools, and technologies as they relate to Systems and Operations Bureau processes and risk management. This position also serves as the innovations specialist and the Maintenance Management System (MMS) program manager. Responsible for researching, developing, reviewing, implementing, deploying, and training for new technologies, practices, tools, and methods that promote economical, efficient, and quality processes and for MMS requirements. This position reports to the Systems and Operations Bureau Chief within the Maintenance Division. Other MDT office locations may be considered.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in project management, business analysis, or related experience.
  • Alternative combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Such as 6 years of related experience.
  • This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the principles of systems analysis and design
  • Knowledge of business process analysis
  • Understanding of computer applications
  • Knowledge of technical research projects and practices
