Copper Nickel is looking to hire an experienced and attentive Event Security Staff. You will be primarily responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our clients and guests, as well as the employees of our organization. In addition, it will be your duty to inform the management of any wrongdoings and report any suspicious activities.

Prior work experience as a Event Security Staff will be an advantage for this position. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent observation skills, familiarity with various surveillance systems, quick problem solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality under pressure is a mandatory skill.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Patrolling:

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and deter suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations as they arise.

Access Control

• Control access to the premises by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, packages, and personal belongings to prevent unauthorized items from entering the premises.

Incident Response

• Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, and security breaches.
• Investigate security-related incidents and document findings in detailed incident reports.
• Liaise with law enforcement and emergency response agencies as necessary.

Customer Service

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
• Assist visitors with directions, inquiries, and requests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Serve as a visible deterrent to potential security threats while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Emergency Preparedness

• Familiarize yourself with emergency response procedures and protocols.
• Take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and minimize harm during emergencies or crisis situations.

• Outstanding surveillance and observation skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledgeable to safety, security operations and procedures
• Knowledgeable of state laws and regulations
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Has worked at least one event (Birthday, Wedding, etc.)

Pay:

• Pay is based on the event that is worked. We have events which are a couple of hours to possibly 8 hours. Rate of pay is $20.00 an hour. There are events almost every weekend. We also have events on Sundays, weekdays, mornings, evenings & holidays.
• $20.00 - $22.50/hour
