DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operate cash register and scanner, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Follow company processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, and clean restroom.
• Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic computer usage knowledge.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to stock merchandise
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Frequent walking and standing
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, stock merchandise and unload trucks.
• Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as handheld scanners, box cutters, and merchandise containers.
• Frequent and proper lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Education:

• High school Diploma or G.E.D.(Preferred)

Wine, Beer, Tobacco and Spirit knowledge is helpful.
