The Homeless Services Specialist will provide outreach services to Homeless individuals including youth, and families with substance use disorders (SUDs) or co-occurring mental health conditions and SUDs (COD). Staff will use Motivational Interviewing and SMART Recovery services, individual supportive care, harm reduction education, and perform case management duties. Homeless Services Specialist will conduct outreach and harm reduction education in the community; enroll adults in treatment, case management, and recovery support (including benefit assessment by SOAR certified staff) and will proactively link youth to youth-specific services.
Homeless Services Specialist will focus on 1) behavioral health outreach, treatment, and recovery-oriented services; 2) coordination of housing and services to support the implementation and/or enhance long-term sustainability of integrated community systems that provide permanent housing and supportive services; and 3) effort to engage and connect individuals with SUD or COD, who are experiencing homelessness to resources for health insurance, Medicaid, and mainstream benefits programs (e.g. Supplemental Security Income(SSI)/Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Temporary Assistance for needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), etc.).

Must be 21 years of age (insurance requirement) and possess a valid AZ driver’s license with a “clean” or “acceptable” driving record. An unacceptable driving record includes (but is not limited to) the following:
Other driving related violations may be considered unacceptable. At time of job offer, submission of 36 month (three year) driving record from DMV will be required. These standards must be maintained throughout employment and up-to-date driving records are reviewed regularly for current employees.
