Duties and Responsibilities:
Mail Distribution, Sorting, & Processing:
- Assist with the distribution and sorting incoming mail to the appropriate department and offices, including scanning accountable mail.
- Assist with the processing of outgoing mail, which includes stamping, sealing, and appropriately applying the correct postage to packages/mail
- Maintain organization and keep track of outgoing mail, including tracking packages and recording delivery information through the use of scanners
- Drive to various locations on campus to deliver and drop-off mail
Mailroom Organization and Support:
- Assist with the cleanliness and organization of the mailroom and equipment
- Appropriately dispose of packaging materials and keeping work areas tidy
- Assist with special projects or tasks assigned by supervisors
Customer Service
- Assist with answering mailroom inquiries and provide information to staff or visitors regarding mail services
- Follow established mailroom procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and timely mail processing and delivery
