This role will be a part of the Product Development Electrical Engineering Team and will develop products to help protect those that serve our communities. Responsible for various aspects of the PCB hardware development process including specifications, schematic/PCB design, and validation. Responsibilities include electronic assembly development and system integration while collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsible for circuit design including:
· High power LED including optical and thermal characteristics
· High current switching circuitry
· Linear and switching power supply
· Digital and 8 to 32-bit microprocessor application and coordination with firmware development team
· Analog electronics, circuit simulation, WCCA
· Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
· System & harness design
· LIN, CAN, USB interfaces
· Component expertise including discrete semiconductor
Participate in electronic hardware design reviews with program teams
Responsible for EMC and transient protection design and testing
Deploy effective communication skills and work well in an engineering team with co-located production environment
Communicate with suppliers to resolve any open issues
Act as a mentor and receive supervisory and mentor feedback
Improve PCB related manufacturing and validation processes. Serve as resource for manufacturing, test, and technical services.
Ensure assigned projects are complete, on time, and to specifications including schematic, PCB layout, analysis, cost reductions and feasibility
Understand and implement customer and regulatory requirements
Coordinate validation of products through internal and external testing facilities (DVP&R) and utilize results to drive improvements
Understanding of DFMEA process
Ensure documentation of engineering work is complete and compliant with ISO requirements
Implement changes using corrective actions and engineering change notices.

Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
5 years Engineering experience
Some experience with Automotive OEM requirements preferred
Practical/hands-on experience desired
Strong problem-solving abilities
Experience with schematic, PCB layout, and simulation software. Preferred experience in Altium and LT Spice.
Computer skills – MS Office Suite, Teams, Jira
SMT soldering skills and electronic assembly
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Team player
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate and/or reach throughout an entire shift.
Must be able to handle and work with small parts
Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
Option to occasionally work remotely
Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
