Living Opportunities is Hiring a Residential Program Manager Near Central Point, OR

Job Summary

The Residential Program Manager will oversee the daily operation of the site; provide direct services as needed; provide on-call support for Residential services on a rotating schedule; ensure that support for persons served by program promotes and maintains independence, integration, coordination of services and choice and control by individuals we served. This position directly supervises the staff assigned to the site, assuring (1) competent service delivery, (2) follow through and (3) corrective action as necessary. This is an exempt position and is not subject to overtime. Specific days and hours are to be scheduled to assure adequate coverage of responsibilities, including supervision of staff on weekend, swing and night shifts. Schedule to be approved in advance by Program Director. Schedule to focus on needs of individuals served so may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will possess degree or similar certification in human services field. Minimum education requirements are a high school diploma and the equivalent of two years of college credit. Management and supervision experience is required. Education requirements may be offset by experience. Additional qualifications:

-Must satisfy all pre-employment, post-offer processes, including (but not limited to): drug test, criminal history, possess or obtain a valid Oregon driver’s license, a dependable vehicle, proof of insurance and be willing to transport residents in return for mileage reimbursement;
-Must be eligible to drive agency vehicles under agency’s insurance carrier provisions;
-Successfully complete CPR and First Aid Certification training within ninety days of employment and maintain current certification thereafter;
-Demonstrate effective Management and Supervision skills;
-Demonstrate ability to plan, design, and implement changes as needed;
-Demonstrate effective time management and perform multiple projects within deadlines;
-Demonstrate acceptable judgment in oversight of assigned functions;
-Communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written form;
-Maintain professional conduct and image;
-Maintain effective working relationships with agency management team/departments;
-Maintain an accurate and current filing system;
-Demonstrate at least entry level computer usage skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Staffing Responsibilities:
-Participate in hiring process with Human Resources;
-Establish staff schedules and assignments in order to efficiently complete work;
-Provide training, feedback, and oversight necessary to ensure staff competency and completion of tasks;
-Regularly observe and monitor staff performance to ensure quality of support provided;
-Perform annual staff evaluations and provide at least monthly individual performance feedback;
-Perform coaching and disciplinary actions in conjunction with Human Resources Department;
-Ensure documentation of staff training;
-Provide on-call supervision for all Residential services on a rotating basis;
-Review and approve staff timesheets, billing information, and other documents before submission for payment.

Provision of Supports for Individuals served:
Provide oversight and ensure timely development of assessments and individual support plans. Review supports and systems to ensure promotion and emphasis of: (1) choice and control by the individuals served; (2) Self-initiation and self-monitoring systems that promote independence and control by individuals served; (3) Occurrence in functional settings; (4) Maintenance and generalization of skills; (5) least intrusive methods; (6) reduction of support needed over time, if possible; and (7) physical and social integration, especially making new friends and establishing new relationships.
-Perform entry, exit and transfer responsibilities per policies and OAR regulations;
-Oversee assessment of individual support needs at least annually;
-ISP development based on completed assessment
-ISP implementation, review: support and training activities and progress with staff at least quarterly, efficiency and consistency of approach, appropriateness of strategies and objectives, follow up and documentation of activities and reviews;
-Provide oversight for monitoring systems including: health, safety, dietary, financial, behavior, and incident reports;
-Provide quality assurance review and corrective action as needed.

Physical Site:
-Ensure that site is kept clean and orderly in a manner that is both attractive and promotes health;
-Oversee cleanliness and general up keep of site;
-Ensure follow up implementation by staff;
-Maintenance of site both by staff of site and work order systems.
-Ensure that the site meets the health and safety standards developed by the safety committee and assess through monthly safety inspections.
Documentation Systems:
Ensure that documentation systems are functional, as streamlined as possible, consistent with other sites, in compliance with procedures and rules and implemented as designed. Perform periodic review of records and documentation, including data for support activities, house logs, medication and medical records, incident reports, safety checklists, emergency evacuation records, etc. per individual support plans to ensure follow up, timely completion and compliance. Documentation must be organized and accessible for review at any time. Provide corrective action as needed.
-System oversight includes:
Therap documentation and other communication systems ISP data implementation
Logs and other communication systems
Medical (ex: MAR medical order forms, physician orders)
Safety (Ex. Fire drills, inspections)
Dietary (ex: menus, special diets)
Behavior Supports (Ex: functional analysis, plan, and follow up data)
Incident reports
Administrative:
-Maintain active communication, correspondence and positive, customer oriented working relationships, especially with individuals served and their family members. Provide supervision and guidance necessary to ensure that staff maintain positive, customer oriented working relationships;
-Maintain the confidentiality of persons served both in verbal communications and in sharing written material per agency policy and procedure. Provide training and oversight to ensure staff compliance;
-Comply with agency policies and procedures and pertinent monitoring agency rules and regulations. Draft and recommend changes in agency policy and procedure to ensure consistency with current practice and administrative rules as they change;
-Participate as a member of the residential management team;
-Participate in special projects, attend meetings, participate in training, and perform other duties as assigned and required by supervisor.

Direct Reports

Responsible for supervision and monitoring of Direct Support Professionals .and other staff within this site.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
