Position Summary:
Pull all commission and client reports and organize data for the purpose of weekly commission imports. Will also analyze data to find discrepancies in sales reporting.
Position Responsibilities:
Calculate and administers sales commissions
Ensure that administered compensation adheres to the established incentive plan as well as organizational guidelines
Organize all data, from multiple sources and look for congruency and errors
Analyze commission amounts paid to see if it is correct
Organize imports to go into internal commission system
Create and maintain details and records of all past and present transactions
Maintain an in-depth understanding of all commission plans across their assigned Business Units
Gather commission and sales reports from various insurance carrier’s sources
Organize all data, from multiple sources and look for congruency and errors
Analyze, audit, and validate production reports to ensure accuracy and eligibility for commission calculations
Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities within the department
Fix current reporting/data structure
Identify ways to continually refine and improve commission accuracy and increase efficiency
Create and maintain details and records of all past and present transactions.
Ensures commission cycles follow published schedules, commission schedules, company policies, and procedures.
Work with insurance carrier’s commissions data in performing audits and statement
Understand various carrier rules and reporting to assist agent through process
Manage monthly payment process of carrier commissions and perform audits of data
Assist with various department projects
Position Requirements:
Business administration or accounting degree; or equivalent experience is helpful
Experience with insurance is helpful (not a necessity), with focus on commissions, accounting and/or sales
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Must be able to pay strong attention to detail
Strong analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with management.
Collaborative working style and ability to work with external and internal teams.
Ability to identify processes and improve upon them
Ability to think outside the box is crucial
Ability to prioritize duties and requests
