- Contract Duration 3 Months
- The Logistics Administrator will be responsible for assisting Operations and Compliance & Safety by ensuring that the company maintains compliance with DOT regulations. This includes but is not limited to: day to day of DOT regulations within the transportation industry.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures relating to DOT regulations and dispatching.
- The Logistics Administrator assures compliance with Federal and State safety compliance agencies such as DOT, and FMCSA.
- Diagnosing issues on PFM (People Net Fleet Manager or similar technology), looking for possible issues through the use of miles without hours, GPS reports, log reports, driver metrics, and vehicle reports.
- Auditing driver's logs routinely. Ensuring that miles without hours, DOT breaks, over hour issues are documented. And provide additional training when needed.
- Maintain and audit onboard visual recording devices (truck cameras) to identify driver-related issues or possible road hazards to improve safety and performance.
- Working with ELD technologies to diagnose, update, or correct any technical issues.
- The Logistics Administrator will maintain the accuracy of software (Landmarks, new vehicle settings, software service upgrades upcoming advancements).
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas of electronic logging devices and other related DOT programs.
- Assist in installation/maintenance and service of the logging devices for the company.
- Assist Safety and Compliance Manager in Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting statistical data related to CSA.
- Coordinate efforts associated with the preparation of regulatory documents.
- Assist the Safety and Compliance Manager with internal or external DOT audits.
- Report any employee performance or ELD issues to Regional Warehouse Directors and local warehouse Managers.
- Supply accurate IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) reporting monthly to corporate accounting for tax purposes.
- Provide and maintain vehicle data in Intelex (or similar database) for the purposes of mileage tracking and other reporting purposes.
- Assistance for drivers after regular business hours.
- Must have five to seven years of direct working experience with DOT.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to operate computer/laptop, overhead projector, phone, and fax
- Must be able to travel domestically up to 15% of the time
- Must have the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Communication – Ability to communicate effectively with others through oral and written communication
- Problem Solving – Ability to find a solution or to deal proactively with work-related safety concerns
- Technical Aptitude-Ability to read and comprehend complex technical topics and data
- This is a part-time role averaging around 30 hours per week
- Hybrid: M/T and Thur in the office. W/F Remote. We can be flexible.
