Qualitrol Company is Hiring a Punch Press Operator Near Fairport, NY
- Setup and operate small hydraulic presses and small drill presses;
- Read and understand blueprints and specifications;
- Move products to finished area;
- Maintain work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment;
- Perform duties in accordance with established quality standards;
- Follow the established standard work and maintain 5S in the fabrication area
- Must have proficient English reading and writing skills and be able to read and comprehend MSDS sheets and standard work instructions. High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
- 2-8 years’ work experience with punch press machinery; including running and setting up machines/presses
- Willingness and ability to work overtime hours
- Previous lean manufacturing work experience desired
- Manual dexterity and lifting 20-35 pounds may be required
- Experience as a material handler in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to lift and maneuver parts and assemblies several times through the build process
- Regularly exerting up to 20 lbs. of force and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Bending body downward and forward at the waist.
- Standing for sustained periods of time.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
