Provide leadership, subject matter expertise and facilitation of the continuous-improvement and LEAN initiatives for Sonnax, aimed at optimizing processes, reducing waste and improving overall organizational performance. You will work closely with the Leadership Team and department managers to identify improvement opportunities and coordinate and/or facilitate improvement events. Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement and lean strategy aligned with the goals and objectives of Sonnax. Responsible for lean cost-savings targets and partnering with each function to drive strategic initiatives. Establish a project dashboard to enhance visibility across all continuous improvement initiatives and to serve as a centralized tool for leadership team decision-making and project prioritization, and to minimize redundancy efforts. Work closely with the Continuous-Improvement Team at Marmon and help facilitate LEAN training for the organization. Implement continuous-improvement and lean methodologies and tools across the organization to drive improvement in efficiency, reduced costs, and improved safety. Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of improvement projects. Utilize data analytics to identify trends, root causes of problems and opportunities for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, achievements, and areas for further improvement. Maintain a presence in the office and on the shop floor to support employees, promote performance to established standards and assist with process improvements. Responsible for interviewing and hiring new employees as needed. Complete and deliver annual performance reviews for employees. Perform additional functions as requested by the leadership team. Education and/or Experience: B.S. in business administration, engineering, operations-management or related field. 10 years of experience supporting and leading continuous improvement and lean activities. Certification in Lean/Six Sigma or other relevant process improvement methodology. Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement and lean initiatives in mfg. and office settings. Proven track record in coaching and managing dynamic, high-performance teams through transformations. Demonstrated experience using data analytics to identify improvement opportunities. Demonstrated project management and change management skills. Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills. Preferred Requirements: M.S. in business administration, engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations-management, or related field. Finance, Business and Change-Management acumen. Project Management (PMP) certification. Excellent communicator, proven leadership abilities, and a skilled collaborator. Experience implementing digital tools and technologies to support continuous improvement. Physical Demands: Ability to work in and around a manufacturing environment and have no restrictions on wearing safety footwear and protective eyewear. Ability to work in all 3 Vermont facilities and travel occasionally to other locations, including North Carolina. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
