Summary of the RoleThe Value Stream Leader (VSL) is a strategic partner in manufacturing operations with responsibility for leading a Product Value Stream to achieve required business results to include resource (people) utilization, ensure rapid implementation of decisions, budget development and adherence, efficiency, process, and transactions, e.g., job close out process, improvements. The VSL is responsible to increase the ratio, of value to non-value processes, and eliminating waste in the delivery of clinical and/or commercial batch manufacturing.
Your Responsibilities

• Manage all processing activities, general work habits, and specialized techniques to ensure they are executed in accordance with all applicable process safety management requirements, process hazard handling, respective PPE requirements, and general workplace safety considerations.
• Ensures that processes are performed in accordance to approved batch records, work instructions, and special instruction worksheets as required.
• Ensures operators are trained to perform process steps within the respective records.
• Drives a continuous improvement culture aimed at increasing Right-First-Time (RFT) manufacturing, increasing equipment up-time (decreasing equipment downtime)
• Identifying and eliminating non-value-added work (waste) and collaborates within/outside of the Value Stream (VS) to identify and drive bottom line expense savings.
• Develop & manage budgets (including spend tracking & variance resolution)
• Coordinate & direct major projects (e.g. acquisition, capital equipment installation, major repairs, plant layout changes)
• Coordinate with groups outside the value stream to support Value Stream operations
• Executes a standard operating cadence of operations centric meetings such as shift hand offs, Tier board, CAPA (EHS and Quality) review/closure, Gemba, Kaizen, and monthly financial reviews.
• Develops team in a manner that maintains positive morale, motivation, and collaboration.

Requirements for the Role

• Bachelor of Science degree in STEM Discipline or a related discipline with 8 years of progressive leadership experience within an operations environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and hands on experience in the area of Value Stream.
• Ability to plan and forecast the financial performance of the organization.
